To start - Sign up and register your first pet’s profile
Create your maskots account and quickly register your four-legged friend by providing details about their health, care needs, and photos. This enables us to tailor personalized recommendations and services specifically for them. You can add optional information later. Choose the plan that best suits your needs – you can always modify it later in Settings.

Profile - Centralize all your pet's information on your phone
Manage all your pet’s essentials in one secure digital space. Store important details such as their microchip number and insurance information. Search for travel requirements based on destination and store all necessary travel documents. Plus, create a charming photo album for your pet right within the app.

Health - Monitor your pet’s health and make veterinary care easier
Efficiently manage your pet’s entire health profile directly within the app. Track their weight, record health issues or allergies, monitor vaccinations, and manage routine care. Search for and register your trusted vet. Record any medical events for your pet, and with just one click, share your pet’s medical history with your chosen vet. And that’s not all—in some countries, you can consult with licensed veterinarians 24/7 via call, chat, or video call.

All conversations are personal, securely stored, and accessible for you to revisit anytime.

Getting started
Should I download the app? Can I also use it in a browser?
The best experience is on the mobile app—download maskots from the App Store or Google Play. You can also use it in a browser as a Progressive Web App, but the app enables mobile notifications, camera/mic access, and location services.
Which countries and languages are supported?
Maskots works worldwide in English, Spanish, and French. Our initial commercial launch is in Spain, France, the US, the UK, and Chile, but you can use the app anywhere in these three languages.
I can’t find my pet’s breed. What should I do?
We support all mixed breeds and over 230 pure breeds, including the most common ones, and we add more every month. You can view the current list in the Easily register all your dogs and cats section on our website. If your pet’s breed isn’t listed, simply select a suitable mixed-breed option for now.
Will Maskots cover all the breeds of dogs and cats soon?
We’re working to include every dog and cat breed quickly. We’re committed to adding new breeds and ensuring all pets enjoy Maskots’ benefits.

All advice and recommended actions are based on veterinary expertise. Our AI helps tailor the content, and our certified veterinarians carefully review it to ensure it’s accurate and reliable.
How are responses from the maskots AI Assistant generated?
Maskots AI is powered by the latest ChatGPT model, specifically tailored to answer pet-related questions and enhanced with dedicated veterinary content. It uses your pet’s profile and past conversations to provide tailored, relevant answers, while our veterinary team supervises the AI Assistant to ensure accuracy and reliability.
Pricing and subscription
Is maskots free?
The first version of maskots was free for its first year. Since July 2025, we offer the Essential plan for free, while the Smart Pet and Smart Family plans — which include advanced features like our AI Assistant, personalised care plans, and expert advice — are paid.
What subscription plans are available?
We offer three plans: the Essential plan (free), the Smart Pet plan (for one pet), and the Smart Family plan (for unlimited pets). The Essential plan includes three core services — Profile, Health, and Offers — while the Smart plans unlock the full maskots experience, including the AI Assistant, recommended Actions, and personalised Advice. Smart plans are available with either a monthly or annual subscription.
Can I cancel my Smart plan at any time? How?
Yes. You can cancel your Smart Pet or Smart Family plan at any time by going to Settings → Your Account and selecting the Essential plan. Your paid features will remain available until the end of your current subscription period.
Free trial (Smart Pet and Smart Family plans)
How can I get the free trial for the Smart Pet or the Smart Family plan?
All new users get a 14-day free trial to explore the full features of Smart Pet or Smart Family. Simply select your preferred plan during registration, add a payment method, and enjoy 14 days of free access to advanced services. Cancel any time.
Which plan should I choose for the free trial: Smart Pet or Smart Family?
Choose the plan that best matches the number of pets you care for. If you have more than one pet, pick Smart Family; if you have just one, Smart Pet is ideal. You can always start with Smart Pet and upgrade to Smart Family later if needed.
Payment
Which payment methods are accepted?
We accept major cards (Visa, Carte Bleue, Mastercard, American Express—except in a few countries) and Apple Pay/Google Pay where available. Your eligible options appear at checkout.
My payment method was not accepted. Can I still access the Smart Pet or Smart Family plans? What should I do?
We’ll try to process your payment up to three times. If it’s still declined, you’ll need to add a new payment method to keep access to the Smart Pet or Smart Family plans and to purchase 24/7 vet online services. Otherwise, your account will move to the free Essential plan, which has more limited features.
Is my payment information secure, and who stores it?
Yes. Payments are processed by Stripe, a PCI-compliant global provider. Your details are handled to the highest security standards.
In which currency will I be charged?
We support EUR, USD, GBP, and many local currencies. If your currency isn’t available, we’ll charge in EUR or USD based on your region—and we cover any foreign-exchange fees. You’ll see the currency at sign-up and checkout.
If maskots doesn’t offer my local currency for the Smart Pet or Smart Family plans, and I’m charged in EUR or USD, will I pay foreign exchange charges?
Don’t worry — if your local currency isn’t supported, we’ll charge you in EUR or USD and cover any foreign exchange fees ourselves.
I’ve signed up for a subscription to Smart Pet or Smart Family. When will I be charged?
At the start of each billing period (monthly or annual). If you’re on a free trial, billing starts when the trial ends—unless you switch to Essential before then.
If I cancel my Smart Pet or Smart Family subscription, what happens? Will I still have access until the end of the subscription period?
Yes. If you cancel and switch to the free Essential plan before your billing period ends, you’ll keep access to your Smart plan features until the end of that period. After that, your account will move to the Essential plan and your payment method will no longer be charged.

Our partners are the merchants of record. They manage your order, process payment, arrange delivery, and provide any after-sales support.

Where is the 24/7 vet online service available?
Currently in Spain and in Chile, in Spanish. We’re expanding to more countries soon.
Is the 24/7 vet online service available for all subscription plans?
Yes. All plans — Essential, Smart Pet, and Smart Family — include access to the Health section, where the 24/7 vet online service is just one click away.
What can the maskots 24/7 vet team do? Can they prescribe medication?
Our licensed vets can help with issues such as vomiting, diarrhoea, skin problems, nutrition, behaviour, and more, and advise on whether your pet needs urgent care. Due to legislation, they cannot prescribe medication.
