In compliance with applicable regulations, we inform you that personal data collected by Maskots through forms made available to the User will be incorporated and processed in our files to facilitate, expedite, and fulfill the commitments established between Maskots and the user (hereinafter “User”) or to maintain the relationship established in the aforementioned forms or to attend a request or inquiry.

Categories of Personal Data

The categories of data processed at Maskots are only personal data. In no case are special categories of personal data processed.

Legal Basis for Personal Data Processing

The legal basis for the processing of personal data is consent and, in the case of registration, the legal basis is the contractual relationship between the parties. Maskots is committed to obtaining the User’s express and verifiable consent for the processing of their personal data for one or several specific purposes.

The User has the right to withdraw their consent at any time. To withdraw consent, simply contact Maskots. As a general rule, the withdrawal of consent will not condition the use of the Website.

In instances where the User must or can provide their data through forms to make inquiries, request information, or for reasons related to the content of the Website, they will be informed in case the completion of any of them is mandatory as they are essential for the correct development of the operation performed.

Purposes of the Processing for Which Personal Data is Intended

Personal data is collected and managed by Maskots to facilitate, expedite, and fulfill the undertakings established between the Website and the User or the maintenance of the relationship established in the forms filled by the latter or to address a request or inquiry.

Likewise, data may be used for a commercial purpose of customization, operational and statistical, and activities of the corporate purpose of Maskots, as well as for data extraction, storage, and marketing studies to adapt the Content offered to the User, as well as to improve the quality, functioning, and navigation of the Website.

Personal Data Retention Periods

Personal data will only be kept for the minimum time necessary for the purposes of their processing and, in any case, for the legally established time, or until the User requests their deletion.

Personal Data of Minors

Only those over 14 years of age may lawfully give their consent to the processing of their personal data by Maskots. If it is a minor under 14 years of age, consent from the parents or guardians is required for the processing, and this will only be considered lawful to the extent that they have authorized it.

Secrecy, Confidentiality, and Security of Personal Data

Maskots commits to adopting the necessary technical and organizational measures, according to the appropriate level of security for the data collected, to ensure the security of personal data and prevent their accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorized disclosure of, or access to personal data transmitted, stored or otherwise processed.

The Website has an SSL certificate (Secure Socket Layer), ensuring secure and confidential transmission of personal data, as the transmission of data between the server and the User, and vice versa, is completely encrypted.

However, as Maskots cannot guarantee the impregnability of the internet or the total absence of hackers or others fraudulently accessing personal data, the Data Controller commits to informing the User without undue delay when a personal data security breach occurs that is likely to result in a high risk to the rights and freedoms of natural persons. Rights Derived from the Processing of Personal Data

The User has the following rights regarding their personal data at Maskots and may therefore exercise them against the Data Controller:

  • Right of access: The right of the User to obtain confirmation on whether Maskots is processing their personal data and, if so, to obtain information on their specific personal data and the treatment that Maskots has carried out or carries out, as well as, among other things, the available information about the origin of said data and the recipients of the communications made or planned thereof.
  • Right of rectification: The right of the User to have their personal data modified if they are inaccurate or, considering the purposes of the treatment, incomplete.
  • Right of erasure: The right of the User, provided that the current legislation does not establish otherwise, to obtain the erasure of their personal data when they are no longer necessary for the purposes for which they were collected or processed; the User has withdrawn their consent to the processing and this does not have another legal basis; the User opposes the processing and there is no other legitimate reason to continue with it; the personal data have been unlawfully processed; the personal data must be deleted in compliance with a legal obligation; or the personal data have been obtained as a result of a direct offer of services of the information society to a minor under 14 years of age.   • Right not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing: The right of the User not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing of their personal data, including profiling, unless otherwise provided by current legislation.
